The
Catholic Community is made up of members who become Catholic in one of
three ways. First, most are born into Catholic families and learn and
participate in the Faith as they grow up. Second, some are baptized
into another Christian church and enter the Catholic Church through a
solemn profession of faith. Third, some have had no prior affiliation
and are not baptized; these enter a process leading to joining the
Catholic Church through baptism.
The process that takes these last two
to membership is through Adult Faith Formation. At St. Clement the "We Believe" series fulfills this formation. The
process is concerned with the total formation of the person leading to
full participation through baptism, confirmation and Eucharist. The
Catholic Church welcomes new members; indeed, we feel we are commanded
by Jesus Christ to share our faith with others.
Do not hesitate if you are interested.
We encourage you to pray about this decision. You will be greeted with
enthusiasm; your freedom of conscience will always be respected; and we
think you will find your time amply rewarded.
